I try not to look at the display as I push the button furthest to the right... It's ridiculous. Although there isn't much we can do to influence the price of gas, there's plenty we can do save money. Simple things like if your gas tank is 3/4 empty, there is more air in the tank to evaporate the remaining fuel. Whereas a tank 3/4 full would have a lesser effect.

It's really changed the way Canadians interact with each other. Instead of asking how the weather is, I'm hearing "so hows 'bout those gas prices eh?" all to often.

My guess is that it will only go up. Considering the slightest disturbance could send oil prices sky high, it's really no surprise fuel costs are going through the roof with today's global economy and political climate. I'd still consider ourselves lucky though, as those in europe are spending easily double that for fuel. If we really want to see changes in fuel prices we need to start investing in cleaner renewable fuels, instead of hoping for petroluem prices to drop.

It is brutal, but Mikallus...you have 2 Tdi's listed! I cant beleive that my gas is cheaper than your Mud (diesel). I knew to check my tire pressures to save gas and 2 of 4 needed some air. I suggest that everyone do it. Dont bother checking, just go the the air machine and hook up all 4 tires to the harder side of the suggestions on the sidewall of the tire. Oh, and im trying to use all of my gears as I can no longer afford the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th. hahaa too much fun.

m5racer, you might save a few $$/ year if you use 91. I dont think you need 94. Many locations dont even offer that. I use petro Canada and the highest they have is 91. Read the side of your gas cap. its a myth that using higher comes with more performance. The car was built to have the fuel ignite at a specific time and yours would be going off a tad early. It is true however that you should use the highest octane once in a while becuase it causes it to push out more of the sut and crap on the injectors.
